  • Reviews
  • Force brand, original from Taiwan, professional tools.
  • The tester from Force is made of the best grades of chrome vanadium steel, by forging method with subsequent heat treatment, which guarantees high strength, resistance to breakage, long service life.
  • It has a very high corrosion resistance.
  • The device complies with the standard of the German Institute of Standardization DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) and international standards ISO 9002 and ISO 9001.
  • Testers verify that energy is sufficient for spark plug to fire
  • Checks for spark in ignition systems without removing spark plug
  • Calibrated for high energy systems

This ignition system is characterized by the replacement of the contact breaker with a special proximity switch. The center wire connecting the ignition coil to the distributor in this system is inaccessible. As a rule, such a system is installed on cars with a microprocessor control system.

  • Working with the tester:
    • Spark should be tested on each high voltage wire. The other high voltage wires should be connected to their plugs during the test.
    • Remove the high voltage wire from the spark plug.
    • Connect the high voltage wire to the 9G3101 tester.
    • Ground (connect to ground) the tester using a contact clip (alligator). At the same time, it is necessary to connect the tester at some distance from the electronics device so that the center electrode of the arrester is not closer than 10 or 25 mm from the engine (vehicle) mass.
    • Crank the engine with the starter and check that there is a spark on the high-voltage wire.
    • If there is no spark, check the resistance of the high-voltage wires and the ignition coil, make sure that there is no wire breakage and the coil body is intact, and that there is good mass contact.
    • After troubleshooting, again check for spark on the high voltage wires with a tester, in the above order.
