This tool interfaces with the cam gears and is utilized for the critical task of securing and maintaining TDC timing alignment when the cam belt is serviced or removed for other front-engine or cylinder head service tasks.

Use to hold / secure Alighn both camshafts at TDC position when adjusting and assembling
Pin is used to lock the crankshaft at the position while replacing the timing belt or removing the crankshaft bolt.
Compatible with VW and Audi V8 5 valve per cylinder (40 valve) engines. But not for newer FSI V8 engines.
