This camshaft pulley wrench with grooved pins are designed to hold the camshaft pulley stationary while loosening and tightening the center shaft bolt.
While using on most Asian overhead cam engines, it is most needed on transverse mounted V6 engines such as the VG30 used in NISSANMAXIMAS, as well as, the 3VZFE and 1MZFE engines used in TOYOTA CAMRY.
The rear pulleys on these models are in very close proximity to the shock tower making removal and replacement difficult without this locking device.
